Um, yes it does?

The front windshield can be so thick it'll rival tank armour. On the FW-190 it's like, 59mm thick at 50 degrees or so.

we're talking about the sides though, where in most aircraft there is little or no armoring in the glass

I finally got IS-3

it and it's glory shall be mine

I don't have much to say about this game anymore. I can say that russian planes are made from Stalinwood.

Remember to not angle it when facing an enemy. Also worth noting that German 88mm APCR can punch right through the front of the IS-3 no matter what

if you're too lazy to read, what they're adding is heat hazes which affect tanks aim (distorting the view obviously) and aircraft trails that you usually see at high altitudes from jet airliners flying over, what this allows you to do is hunt out bombers and not be stealthy anymore (for those who care enough I guess)

heat hazes

Africa theatre please

When do they fix soviet invincibility

the only reason they last so long is they can out turn so many planes even the M.C.202, they are also easy to escape with cause speed

They key to killing Russians is to spurt their engine, at the time Russians were simply mindless Slovaks who thought of quantity/quality. Their engines can't take even the smallest of guns, got a pistol? Shoot it at their engine and watch their speed and overall ability to play the game decrease to bi-plane standards. This was fixed around the time of the Lavochkin-5 when the soviet union finally understood the importance of being earnest having some armor to protect the engine.

Other tips for combating with Russian bias is to not engage them in the first place, fly high and watch as they desperately try to pitch up at you, resulting in critical speed and in most cases, a flat spin.
*Russian planes can't climb well, and some of the yaks don't have WEP. Use it to your advantage.
*Overall the Russians meta is simply ground attackers, they're slow and low flying planes ie the Il2 and Il4. Watch out though because at low altitudes the Il2 can become a low flying ufo. Armed with 2x20-23mm cannons that shoot like crazy, im not sure you'd be alive if they caught you in their sights.
*The Ishaks and I85 are planes fitted with cannons to make your life worse, again lead above the engine and watch their plane come to a halt.
*When flying jets, say your payers because the Mig series is pretty much everyone's bane. Outfitted with a false statcard and historically accurate records, your sure aren't going to like tier V and so forth.

Also, if you have tracers, use them. A well placed burst can catch their tail or any other part of their tree planes on fire. Watch them burn.

I won because the yak tried to turn fight me
I thought I was a goner but it was him

special place in hell for spitfire players

soviet tanks are undeadable

I'd be happy with the F2 if the massive ammo rack wasn't behind the driver and gunner

it's so annoying when you have to move and break your hull down cover even if your a considerable distance back
