lower tier planes with an acceptable armament are actually better suited to fighting higher tier things. you turn faster, have more mobility in turns and overhead loops, you can actually spin as where a jet would forget itself over. most of the time lower tier planes actually have a better armament than jets. 4 20mm hispanos air targets absolutely decimate things, especially when you hit a jet in the "sweetspot".
this. in arcade, atleast, the only things that really matter are maneuverability and armament. this is why i hate the p-51 with a burning passion, along with the f-82. however, the f-82's guns are, uh, 'nose mounted' in that they don't need to converge, and you can mount a sick gunpod on it that brings its amount of guns up to 12. and iirc they're all m3s, which fire like twice as fast as the m2s
load tracers, invent siamese mustang firing laser beams
anyway, the way i keep my morale high when i see a 262 or an f-86 is just remembering that it's the same incompetards that i see flying fw190s and bearcats
speaking of which
i nominate f8f-1b best single prop plane in wt
