You get up, rub your temples, and remember. You're Alex Colten... unfortunately, that's all you remember. You have no idea why you're in a suit, nor where you are. You were sleeping on that towel by the backpack.

  • Any reasonable action

Pick up the backpack and look through it. Maybe a clue as to why you are there in a sharp dressed suit.

Look under the towel, could be something

Do both of those things and then realize you don't have any loving wrists.

You check under the blanket for anything other than grass and dirt to no avail.

Then you check the backpack.

Some kind of sawed off rifle, but you can't really recognize it. You were never a gun enthusiast, anyway. There are some bullet shells and a bit of gunpowder, but no bullets. There are also two candy bars and a thermos cup half filled with water. The water is at the same temperature that the air is at, though.

There's also a pill bottle with mysterious pink pills, and the label is mostly scratched off except a for handwritten addition - "Take once in mornings."
..Also, up close, you think you can see some mold growing on the blanket, but that might just be your imagination playing with the stains on it.

  • Reasonable action.

Check if the gun is loaded

After a bit of fiddling, you figure out that you're supposed to pull the mechanism on top of the gun up, and then back. Looking into it, though, you see no bullets.

  • You know the drill. Reasonable action.
