Author Topic: Does anyone else really dislike school?  (Read 4487 times)

I like school apart from that I have to wake up early sometimes.
It's a good way to stay social.

Try not to think about the bad things too much. Yeah school usually sucks most of the time, just know you're not the only one. I may not be out of highschool yet, but I know that you should try to have some fun while it lasts.

School was actually enjoyable in Japan because it's not so prone to trolls and handicaps as American schools are.
That's because they actually take their schooling seriously instead of, let's watch youtube videos on my phone hidden in the science book, then go home, forget about homework, and goof off.

I really like, "hate" school.
I rather stay home all day and play video games.

I just go to school to meet people and talk to friends, and I do my work because I want some cash in the future. I could give two stuffs less about World History and H.O.P.E. though.

Given you have a good English and math teacher you're set

all the other classes are hella easy

But AP Physics and AP Comp Sci are hard :(.

School would be a lot better if it started at 9 o'clock. That way the sun would be up for a lot more students when they go to school, which, surprisingly, helps a lot.

no i love school it makes me smart

Actually I don't really have a problem with it. I'm not say the school system is perfect, but I actually kind of like my school. The kids are actually pretty cool and chill, the rules are pretty slim, the teachers I have are actually good at teaching and are p nice.

the only problem(s) i really have for school are the teachers and the students. the teachers are complete richards (except for some :) ) and the students are just massive pricks. but those are only for my school though.

i'm doing online schooling next year though. (most likely) because i prefer doing stuff on the computer via videos or just worksheets online than paper. i ONLY really like paperwork if its algebra, because too much stuff writing down and i hate writing stuff on computers.

I kinda like school, nice teachers, nice kids, great facilities :)

Yeah early school years aren't very exciting as you learn the basics of a broad number of subjects which you won't even use. As you grow older you get the option to specialise in the subjects you want to study, or drop out of school.

If you choose to stay in school, you will realise that the earlier years weren't really as bad as you thought as work becomes more demanding. However, despite the work getting harder, you will realise you can cope with it a lot better than you used to in early school years as you will have gained experience. You also learn to tolerate the amount and standard of work demanded to gain a qualification in a subject you chose.

Once you leave school, you'll realise that work is exactly the same, which is having a certain number of hours doing stuff that you will probably eventually get bored of, or hate to begin with, making new enemies or friends in the workplace, being commanded by your boss to do things and needing to work hard to progress (get a raise)...

On top of it, by the time you get a job you will probably already be caring for yourself or have a family.

Trust me, school is not a "phase" it is an "experience" which helps you cope with the bullstuff life has to give you.

This is entirely subjective as it is based on my own experience so don't give me bullstuff about it

our school doesn't offer computer science but physics is really easy if you just do all the work

What I don't like is how my Regents math teacher (I take 9th grade courses in the 8th grade so I don't have to take the regents in high school) gives us homework and never goes over it. I think the point of homework is something to be given out sparingly, then reviewed the next day.

Also what I don't like are the enormous douchebags at my school. Like this guy who sits next to me in half my classes always screams like a dying cat and screws around with me.
