Every legitimate crush (4 total) that I've had started with a dream.
Prior to this dream, I had no real interest in girls at all (I didn't know love was even a thing for at least another year). I remember that I was 12 and there was a girl at church who I relentlessly teased just because....I don't think I remember why. Sorry for text wall, but it's the most remembered and detailed dream in my memory.
The dream was way more innocent than it sounds. I remember I was laying in my bed (in the dream) and heard a noise upstairs. I went to see what it was and my sister was making waffles (even though she'd have been 5 or 6, I didn't find it odd). I sat at the computer and started playing Blockland. I then had the feeling that someone was behind me and thought it was my sister so I shifted my body to block the chat. Whoever was behind me moved me back though, and turned my chair around. I had a feeling of terror when I saw that girl from church had done that. I jumped up and moved backwards towards the kitchen table trying to avoid eye contact but being very wary of her. I bumped against the table and froze. I stood there for what seemed like hours and stole a very quick glance at her face. She was just standing there with an awkward smile. I turned around and tried opening the back door, but it had somehow locked from the outside. I tried the garage door and front door, also locked. I got frantic while trying windows, and she began following me around the house. I finally found a window....the tiny window in the basement that was a good 12 inches above my head. I grabbed a laundry basket and managed to get to the window. I got my head and shoulders out and became stuck. I felt the laundry basket getting dragged out from under my feet leaving me stuck. I felt some hands grab me by the waist and effortlessly pull me from the window. I fell on my heels and reeled backwards onto the floor and she fell on me before quickly rolling off next to me. I sat up and felt like my stomach was totally empty, my mind was scrambled, and the room seemed dim. I stood up and walked towards the stairs, but I felt like I would fall down. I went up using my hands and feet and steadied myself. I went into my parents' room (they weren't there) and laid down on the bed. I apparently fell asleep within my dream, because I woke up and she was on the bed too. She rubbed my head and whispered something inaudible in my ear. I then woke up in real life.

I was in a cold sweat when I woke up, and my attitude towards her felt totally different. The first thing I did when I woke up was go upstairs and research how to get her to notice me in real life. Nobody was awake so I wasn't worried about it. Later that morning though, my dad called me to come back into his room. They had seen the browsing history. They hurled me into an embarrassing discussion and relentlessly tried to pry out the name of the girl I was interested in. I kept denying that I was even interested in anyone, so they started rattling off the names of every girl that they knew I had come into contact with over the past month. I said no to all of them, even though they did say her name.
Ever since then, I have not once talked about girls around my parents and never will. They've tried to re-engage conversations several times since then, but I'm smarter at misleading them now. From what I can tell, they don't even think I have interest in girls at all.
