Lol exactly. I'm currently using Vista and am debating getting an 8.1 computer, and then upgrading to 10 when it comes out.

that must be horrible

-snip-
My downloads folder is way larger than that. I need to clean it out lol.

this is from google, but this is how my ex had his desktop forever
and didnt ever change it, either

-snip-
This was pretty much my desktop before I got a widescreen. Most of it were computer-wide shortcuts so as a user I couldn't remove them (or I haven't figured out how).

when your desktop is where all your downloads go

I have a whole partition dedicated to downloads and it has >100000 files.

Also this is why I use Launchy:

(All of these are linked to Launchy - Desktop icons would be physically unacceptable)

I always start piling files I'm not bothered to categorise in the top left of my desktop, then when it gets too much I do a clean up.

Literally NOBODY has the initiative to get used to a new UI. That's where Microsoft went wrong.

UI is half the battle in OS's. If it wasn't, we'd still be using DOS.

yeah

But there are definitely people willing to try something new. Like me.

Well many businesses do use windows, many don't want to upgrade and possibly lose data and especially don't want to teach employees how to adapt to a new interface

If you can use Windows 7, you can use Windows 8. What point are you trying to make, anyway?

Are you loving serious? Firstly, not everyone is as skilled as you think and secondly, adjustment is always a setback no matter how skilled you are
