nobody would have to be diagnosed with diabetes anymore
lol they wouldn't get diagnosed with it, but it would progress far faster and you'd have people walking around with gangrenous feet and getting seizures and stuff everywhere

Yeah, European medieval medicinal practice was little more than sometimes avoiding dirt (if you could), surrounding yourself in pleasant smells, leeches, bloodletting and lots and lots of prayer.

Doctors weren't of use in Europe against the Black Death.
And the disease hasn't even been extinguished yet. It still exists across the globe, and has even been present in America.
It was reported in Madagascar last year.
