Having been an admin on /Ty's server, I know what it is like to put up with various people with various problems and issues. Issues need to be dealt accordingly to what the server would condone as a serious, or trivial, offense. Such thing as excessive swearing, (possibly meta-gaming while still alive if that is possible,) or excessive racism, could be dealt with mutes or temporary ban. All depends on how serious the host or players take it. If someone is obviously seeking to disturb someone elses gameplay than an admin has to step it and deal with it. A server needs multiple admins that can be on at various times, which timezones take a good place in. I live in the EST so I am typically readily avaliable when Blue hosts the server.
Currently I am an admin on two servers, /Ty and Yoke's servers. I used to be a super admin on old servers such as Uxie's, Reinforcement's, and Cysero's (Julius_Ceasar). Also as an old host, I speak of years back, I've had plenty of time dealing with people on my own server, since it got pretty popular, I was used to handling a server up to 20-30 players. I am also used to helping in smaller building projects, commonly going to (WIP) servers to provide assistance in building.
The job of an admin is to provide the players with the best experience the server has to offer. His job involves punishishing the guilty to protect the innocent. Carry out server rules justly and without excessive force. As in, not screaming your head off or banning someone for asking dumb questions or posting a fake link.
I intend to keep those where I am an admin, and wherever I would so become.
