you keep talking about how health care is pointless, and that you don't need it. But you would end up losing less money by having it and paying the tax than you would saving up the amount it would cost to pay off a full medical bill, depending on how sever your case was.

or you can just invest the money and use the interest from your investments to pay for your insurance premiums in 20 years when you actually need it?

this just in: young people never go to the hospital ever

or you can just invest the money and use the interest from your investments to pay for your insurance premiums in 20 years when you actually need it?
You're missing the point. What if you got into some kind of accident? Or caught a sever illness? Bad things can happen when you're young you know.

then you took the risk and owe a bunch of money? if you voluntarily opted out of medical insurance you knew the risks

then you took the risk and owe a bunch of money?

oh stuff i have cancer, gee sure walked into that one!!!

well im sure the millions of people who dont get cancer at 24 that are now forced to buy insurance they dont need are very happy they are wasting their money

well im sure the millions of people who dont get cancer at 24 that are now forced to buy insurance they dont need are very happy they are wasting their money

so you're saying all cancer is hopeless

lol oops read that wrong

but you're still using the same argument of people that won't need it, cancer is only one example

my aunt was nearly killed in a drive-by shooting, it shattered her knee without hitting anything else fortunately. was it her fault for getting into that situation?

i didn't say it was their fault. but i did say that it's not fair to force a huge group of people to buy insurance they overwhelmingly dont need and prevent them from actually using that money

but that's just the thing

you don't know if you won't need insurance or not in the future

you could get into an accident and be thankful

That's why you Insure you'll be alright

or you could save $100 a month for 10 years, invest it at 12% interest, and have $23500 or so which would give you around $225-$250 in interest a month to pay your premiums when you're in your 30s

That's why you Insure you'll be alright

isnt that the entire purpose of insurance

when you're in your 30s

but you see

this is exactly what i was saying was a moot point

i didn't say it was their fault. but i did say that it's not fair to force a huge group of people to buy insurance they overwhelmingly dont need and prevent them from actually using that money
yeah we should just make a time-travel device so we know whats gonna happen!!
its not like the money is wasted either, its still going out to help people who have been in accident or whatever (i guess people who dont want insurance really hate helping others)

so what happens if i get in a car accident when im 25? i guess im forgeted then lol. the whole point of insurance is to spread the cost among all those who are involved and having only people who need it involved isnt gonna work (hope you understand that)
and find me one US bank that offers 12% interest on savings lol

yeah we should just make a time-travel device so we know whats gonna happen!!

oh shut up, i already said there are (low) risks

its not like the money is wasted either

its wasted if im paying for a service im probably never gonna use for 20 years

so what happens if i get in a car accident when im 25? i guess im forgeted then lol

then get a cheap catastrophic plan?

and find me one US bank that offers 12% interest on savings lol

forget helping other people, thats the far right (aka kearn) way i guess lol
then get a cheap catastrophic plan?
so insurance? ummm
oh shut up, i already said there are (low) risks
personally i think your only issue with mandated insurance is that its mandated
you yourself probably have it. if you dont being forced to pay taxes/insurance/whatever you can always move to a country that doesnt have any, but its almost guaranteed to be a massive stuffhole, have fun

and again, forget helping other people
greed runs the world US i guess
