Pee is not sterile.

Pee is completely sterile. Since unlike women, men don't have any sort of defense in their urethra. Women do in their vaginas but their pee is sterile anyways. This is the reason why urine infections are dangerous because you have nothing defending your body with in the urethra. Pee is totally sterile water with useless proteins (urea basically) and a coloring pigment who's name I forgot.

It's discouraged to drink your pee not because of infections, since it's entirely sterile, but because of kidney strain. Everything that ended up in your pee passed through your kidneys so it's not worth straining your kidneys by drinking your piss when you're not severely dehydrated and have nothing to drink.
