maybe we should make marriage a completely religious thing and take it away from the government
i mean it does sound a lot better because the government also wouldn't have the power to shift it in a bad direction but private institutions can't always be trusted with fairness

this is only after courts began overturning the laws and the resulting the media crusade in favorwhy do people always compare this to the civil rights era? blacks were never given equal services which is why the policies were overturnedgays are not subject to inferior services on every level and are not discriminated against by both the public and the government

Marriage equality is loving stupid. Marriage is a Christian tradition. What is a Christian tradition doing anywhere near the government? What happened to the separation of church and state? There should be a legal national binding thing where you can marry your wife/husband/dog for whatever tax benefit you get out of marriage and Christians can keep their heteroloveually exclusive traditions within the confines of their churches.
