Why you being so annoying? It's his money so he can spend it how he likes. You aren't as helpful or funny as you think you are.
Because sometimes being honest is the only way of getting through somebody's thick skull that they're approaching something from the wrong angle.
This "releasetheblocks2" user seems to me like a kid who doesn't understand the difficulty or stress of becoming a successful YouTube channel. It's something that takes more than just commitment, expensive equipment and time. Some people have the charisma, voice and intellect to be appealing to others. Many don't.
I would much rather somebody stuff on my YouTube videos and thereby give me the truth on what I need to do to get them right, over people giving me false hope. If you're encouraging the kid with faint praise, you probably know you won't watch their videos. Isn't it a waste of time for the kid, then?
This is the wrong way to go about making a YouTube channel. Completely. Don't come to the forum telling us "alhright guize im pumpezed". You have to plan to yourself what content you want to make. Then you have to make a number of draft versions which you show to your brutally honest friends and other people, getting their advice. Once you're convinced you can make it work, you create an account with a secure email and password, and then you start uploading the best of what you have. Then you have to deal with the whole promotion part, which is a giant pain-in-the-arse.
Release won't get anywhere. I can promise you that much. Just like that kid who thought he could make a Doctor Who animation, release will stop once it requires him any level of commitment or effort. He's wasting time being excited over what
could be, instead of working on how to get it there.
