Bump it up in the advanced options when creating a new server.

It can also never be raised above 20, as after that they start to horribly break things.

You can have more than 20 vehicles on a server without it breaking things, unless you run your server on a toaster.

I thought it just wouldn't let you spawn any above 20

No you don't. The limit is there for a reason, if you got rid of the limit you can, and will, in fact crash and destroy your server if too many vehicles are spawned. This has been proven before, and the computer it was tested on is by no means a toaster. It's an engine thing with Blockland.

No I know that but it won't let you spawn anymore than 20 even if you set the limit higher

Did you change both the per-player and the global limits?

The global limit one always resets to 20, I thought that was normal

$Pref::Server::MaxPhysVehicles_Total = "40";
Mine is set to, and sitting at 40. Alternatively you can put that bit of code to up the limit to 40.

The limit has a reason.

I thought it was something like: since vehicles physics are calculated first. More vehicles would mean players are later in line, causing them to glitch out n stuff.

But because the average computer has since becomes faster as well as the internet connection, the limit should be able to be bumped up without issue.
Still, it is probably better to not let everyone increase their vehicle limit.
Some still host from toasters.
