then why is germany with it's 97% vaccination rate, suffering the hardest measles outbreak over the world right now.
at a measly 300 or so cases lol...

regardless if vacs are necessary or not. the fact is, measles is tame as all forget. even in its peak 70 years ago it barely killed. olf people and toddlers die from anything, those stats arent even relevant.
i would prefer it over the common flu.

more people die from the common flu as well. but no one is panicking over that.

Different viruses create fevers of different severity. People get sick in third world countries all the time, and like us, common colds aren't going to kill them. Measles is a different story.

However, measles is worth taking seriously no matter what because a small but significant number of people can get life-threatening encephalitis from it.

There already is a vaccine for chicken pox, and it's given to adults who never contracted chicken pox as children. The reason being that adults have much worse reactions to it, and there's a chance you'll go sterile if you catch it as an adult.

Also, it's given to people who have already caught chicken pox to prevent them from getting shingles.

I'm fairly sure that chicken pox vaccines are given as a prevention measure to kids too. I think my brother and oldest sister had them, and I had made that thread when my mom got shingles when we (being my family) didn't know if I'd had it.

Well all a vaccine is, is a weakened form of a pre existing virus which is a attacked by the body and creates anti-bodies.

Lots of ignorance though, we got people who don't know geography worrying about overpopulation when they don't know that most of the overpopulation happens in places like Africa, India, and China.

The same time we got people convinced vaccines might cause autism because of one sketchy piece of research. I believe things like ADHD, ADD, and Autism have always been with us since humans came into existence. Probably the only reason why we are noticing it more and more is because of the population increase in people. We also have other potential factors like radiation from electronics, pollution, etc.  Then we got people in Africa in believing that modern medicine is the work of the devil and things like ebola and measles are the work of evil spirits and white imperialists.

i would prefer it over the common flu.

Measles looks like a chick repellent.
