No but education should be mandatory. Without it pretty much can't do anything in today's society.

Based on what, a bunch of whiny teenagers on the internet? That's hella reliable, for sure.
I agree, most school complaints are basically just because teenagers don't want to work but are made to by school. When they grow up they'll realise that that's just how the world is and that you actually have to work to maintain yourself/family.

doesn't even consider a 50% a passing grade
And it shouldn't. I don't know how the system works in America but it would make sense if it were to work the same as in Britain. Grades are set based on how everyone sitting the same exam does in the country and are equally divided into groups of grades. If you fail then you obviously are in the lowest group of performance in the whole country, which would be <50% by the looks of it.

The grades aren't just "decided" without taking into account everyone's performance in the whole country

public school, specifically? no. but education in general, yes

heres the thing
people are gay in public
do we really want our children in gay school......?????????

public school, specifically? no. but education in general, yes

This.

public school is supposed to be a generalized as forget system to appeal to everyone in some sort of way
at times, this does not happen, and people choose to head over to private systems

however, it seems that it is too generalized for everyone, as many people will not use the knowledge they
used in chemistry / calculus / biology in their lives. statistics in my opinion should replace calculus, as it would
help students with their money, as many do not choose an economics class and get forgeted when they get a bill

honestly i dont really think that theyre teaching maths and chemistries just for the knowledge of maths and
chemistries, its more of getting the student to figure out something new instead of running out of that
subject for a couple of years and having the student not make any progress on it

there are always holes in every system, just because the school system has holes in it doesnt mean you need to toss it

but loving hell improve the lunches please jesus christ

>his school doesn't have five dollar foot-longs

College at this point really isn't for everybody. There are plenty of jobs that need doing that do not require college, and it is ever-increasingly expensive (at least in the US).

College IS optional for that reason, you should only really go if you plan to specialise in a field.

Everyone should at least have certificates in general education. Mandatory subjects should be Maths, English and Science. Every other subject should be optional.

Pretty much, the way it is now is fine.

Pretty much anything that is public will have problems to some level, you just have to make the most of what you're given and that will make you achieve what you aspire.

You fill up on foot-longs, don't you. :P

Sometimes, it was usually a twice a week thing. As long as there was honey mustard in stock. I did get bacon breakfast bagels every morning though.

A brown hole and 12 inches of meat? Greedy boy.
