and get a job, go to college or uni which is free to an extent
where does it say you can go unemployed here

where does it say you can go unemployed here
just because you don't say something doesn't mean the opposite is implied

I said get a job that's the opposite of unemployed right there
I said things you could do

I said get a job that's the opposite of unemployed right there
I said things you could do
you didn't say it was an exhaustive list, though. good thing, too, because obviously you'd have been wrong, since you said nothing about apprenticeships

Yeah, but you didn't say they were the only things you could do, or that there were things you can't do.

well I forgeted up? I wanted to make sure dooble knew I mentioned that and apparently unemployment after school being something you should avoid isn't common knowledge to you 3

drop it

They need to stop teaching stuff you won't need later in life and more stuff that we will. Like how to loving do taxes or how to purchase a vehicle or a house or stuff like that.

Technically you can go unemployed but obviously that's a horrible way to live

Absolutely everything you are taught is used somewhere in the world now, and it manages to creep into many things you wouldn't expect it to.

Like, say trig in maths... You wouldn't think you'd need to use it, but if you go onto further maths education or physics you'd find out trig goes into many other things. It can even be used in construction

No I understand but lets say you don't do anything that involves math later in life. I don't give a rats ass about knowing how to do more than the basics. I get that you don't pick your career in freshman year but it's really useless in the end. Google exists now. Getting information is easier than ever before. There are calculators online for specific equations that you might need later in life. Both my mom and dad haven't done algebra in life outside of high school other than to help me with some homework.

This will always be the stupidest argument possible against education; there is nothing wrong with learning general knowledge on top of "practical" skills.

meanwhile you do not need chemistry when you want to be.. most things

Dude, where you you put a cap to what is essential to know for a job? I think everything that is taught for maths right now is essential.

Some jobs like general knowledge above only being able to use a calculator for the most basic of equations, they like people who are at least capable of producing their own solutions to problems.
