Author Topic: The Black Hole Gun  (Read 7668 times)

Black holes are extremely massive compacted regions of space with a gravity coefficient effectively equal to infinite. The flow of time around it is also heavily distorted and tends to slow down extensively relative to normal space time.
Ok, now it makes sense.

They crush you into an infinitely small speck due to their massive gravity, then in theory they should dump it at the end of the hole or into some void, phasing it into some other dimension or some other place.

The theory is (I'm a bit of a science geek) that the Black Hole is a tear in physical space due to the penetrating heat and force of a collapsed nova star. The 'hole' is thought that once entered it ends up in a theoretical (or possibly proved) white hole. Sadly though, this can never even be thought to be possible, because the cyclone like force of a black hole circles to such a small and dense piece of matter, anything that goes in is crushed to a subatomic level.

There, are several ideas, one of them being that it's a pocket. Although my personal favorite is the giant proton theory. It's the idea that since it's sooo dense, then all of the atoms collapse together, forming a giant proton. Since this proton has so much gravity, it sucks in light too. That why it's black. Once the light's there, it never can escape.

Time must be really messed up in a black hole.
Why would time be messed up?

Because light's a constant factor and no matter how fast you travel light will always be travelling at the speed of light which means something must give, and that something is time. If the blackhole sucks in light then hell, who knows what time'll be like.

Light moves slower in air or transparent things than in a vacuum, that's why it refracts.

Einstein's Theory of Relativity <3.
Means that stuff goes at speed relative to that of the speed of light. Eg: 10m/s + 330,000m/s.
Anyway, photons have a negligible mass since they are just blips of energy. Question: is energy affected by gravity?

Yea i had a idea to make a big hole that teleports you somewhere in the map

i thinked it should be like this : You shoot whit a gun somewhere and the "bullet" blows and makes a black hole and tazes all players and the "dead" players (tazed) goes in the hole.

Impossible to make "Sucking" without engine changes, if at all.
Sounds too abusable to be good anyway.

Thread over.

I've been working on a Black Hole Generator WMD if that's what you want. I succeeded in getting a negative impulse force to work (instead of pushing you back, it sucks you in). I could not get the Constant Impulse script to work though, so I gave up.

Currently the weapon pulls any grounded folk into it's center of death, and smashes any airborne folk into the cold ground at speeds of mach 2. I haven't even tried doing anything with the tumble script.

So I guess his question is answered, and the thread is done, before it grows to 400 pages of people trying to show off their understanding (or lack of) black holes.

Just to let you guys know someone else is going to have to script this because I'm programming illiterate and can't do a whole lot more than what I've already done (which isn't allot really). If anyone wants to know how I got it to suck you in I simply set the Impulse force value to a negative number.

from reading this topic I've come to the conclusion that a black hole would be a much more efficiant way of making a large file smaller than winzip.

yes I know this post is completly usless

Does your blackhole suck you in towards it?

Send me what you got please?

bump

question : some one now working on it?

Black hole gun, wont 'cha come, wash away the raaaaiiinn...

I believe time stops in a black hole, and slows down near it.

so if it could be possible survive from a black Hole, that one will be sucked in it and in like 200 years would come out and will be like 1year older?

In theory, inside a black hole is a void where time doesn't exist or is extremely distorted and there is everything and nothing at the same time.

Me and Muffin are making a blackhole gun, the sucking will have minigame checks so it doesn't get abused.

At the center of each black hole is a collectible sticker.
