can we speed up time on the Octarius so that Bell is transferred to the brig
It is done.
(Time on-base hasn't changed though. It's weird like that.)

The base is in the past but the Octarius is in the future therefore if they want to be rescued the rest of the squad needs to travel into the future?

My brain is borked.

No, they're just two separate areas that are totally incapable of affecting each other, so it doesn't matter if one is farther along chronologically than the other. The base is prone to week-long timeskips, so there's nothing wrong with fastforwarding the ship a day or two because they'll both get jumped to the same point when the base next skips ahead.

It is done.
You are now in the brig with Oxide. It is rather cramped, especially for two people. There's a well-kept bunk bed built into the wall, in which you've been given the bottom because your injuries still make it hard to move around much. Bolted to the desk at the head of the bed, opposite the cell door, is a small radio. Though you probably won't get much reception out here, it's probably the only thing that can pass the time.

She was phased out of triage because she had been treated and was going to live. Makes it sound more canon, and doesn't distort time.

Chatter picks up from the guard office. I turn my head and stare at the cell door. I can hear the jingle of keys. Am I being released?

A wheelchair is pushed through the door. It's Bell. A guard and a doctor move her to the bottom bunk. It appears that she's in some pain from being carried between the chair and the bed. The wheelchair is folded and left at the door. The cell door is locked again.

I hang my arm over the side of the top bunk, hard tack in hand.

"Hardtack?"

"Thanks."

She takes the biscuit but doesn't bite into it right away, she picks out a small piece of shrapnel and then starts eating it.

"Did the rest of the squadron make it out okay?"

That is what happened, but it would still distort time. Getting further treatment and then being escorted to the brig takes more time than it would take the people back on base to finish their dinners, which is what they were "currently" doing.

Further treatment would likely be painkillers and antibiotics, most likely.

"I believe so, but, I don't know about Kelton. He, went crazy I think, he attacked Misfit flight, then started chasing down Junkers. He was shot down and didn't eject."

"Kelton, that is, was shot down, not Junkers, sorry," I correct myself.

"That's unfortunate." She didn't really care about Kelton, but she assumed that someone probably paid the guy off.

"If you hear anything about a transport plane or helicopter, I'll be able to fly it, probably not a fighter though." She referred to her injuries.
"Good thing the Tornado has a crew of two, I'll leave that option to you once I can stand again."

"Hell, you look barely able to sit upright. This isn't the movies, we're most likely not flying ourselves out of here. And to be an RWO? I'd rather fly the aircraft I'm in." I reply.

"And what happened to you anyway?"

"The back of the Thunderbolt went off like a grenade."

"One of those shotgun shell things?"

: You know we can hear you, right?

"Duly noted! And does everyone on this ship speak Asethian?" I yell back down to the guards.

: You know we can hear you, right?

"It's not like I'm going to be able to get out of this cell anyways, I didn't see an airbase while I was flying up there either, so it's not a problem if you guys do your job."

"Duly noted! And does everyone on this ship speak Asethian?"
: No.
