I wake up, panting. I just had a dream, getting shot down, ejecting, picked up, shot down and having to eject again. I kept reliving that experience of ejecting.

"stuff!" I yell, slamming on the bed's frame. I hang my legs over the edge, and grab my head.

I look over the edge and observe Bell. She's a mess. Multiple scratches on her face. Blood on her flightsuit, a couple bandages on her arm, heavy bandaging around her torso. Is that, blood? Are those exit wounds? She has a clean shirt on though, presumably one given to her.

How much harm can come to one person?
