"Oh no. A missile."
I drop flares and start trying to chase Yamato, waiting until someone fires four HSMs at Musashi and forces the final guidance scrambler charge to fire my own barrage of one HSM per plane that isn't Raiden 6 or friendly.

...and sure enough, ends up right behind you.
Still flying head on towards your squadron, now soundly in missile range. She punctuates this by firing a Heatseeker at you.
Unfortunately, by the time you open fire on her, you have missed your window of opportunity. The rest of her squadron has caught up to her location, and Musashi fires off the guidance scrambler, dispelling your outgoing munitions. The bright side is that they are all now in missile range and down to one GSCRAM use, so if SOMEONE *cough cough* were to fire off an artemis-assisted barrage of 4 heatseekers next turn, that might bait them into using their last charge. Just a thought though. You pick up a missile from Raiden-6, and Yamashiro fires one off at Gus.

Also, Cypher has brought up something worth discussing with all of you: how should "advanced" maneuvers work? The way I'm currently doing it is, whenever you use flares it's tied to a simple evasive maneuver, something like this, for example. But what if you want to try something more complicated? Or if you want to give up the maneuver to stay on a target, and pray that the countermeasure alone will handle it? Suggestions would be much appreciated.

Tippy stared up at the ceiling from her bed, her mind mostly blank. The buzz from the fluorescent light in the room drove out

the silence coupled with its artificial glow. She was either just having one of those months where everything seems to be

going wrong or she was just out of luck. She looked at the clock on the wall but didn't really read the time. She seemed

more interested in looking at the second hand tick away than really knowing about the position of the sun. She's come a

long way, and the length of her service was getting to her.

She finally took a big breath of air and stood up from the bed, stretching her body after having a little too much sleep. Her

jaw popped off on one side as one of the bolts clattered to the floor.

"Awh Fwauk!" she exclaimed as she attempts to reclaim the bolt.

She hears a knock on her door.

Jaakko shuts the dogs up and begins trying to coax the dogs back into the base using the same tactics he used to use to coax stubborn ass ovcharkas back home. Initially, the dogs are unreceptive, still howling at the mech. Jaakko whistles at them, and they stop barking momentarily. The skinny dog seems to bite his lip and looks at Jaakko, keeping its head towards the mech.

Jaakko spends the next few minutes getting the dogs to move a hundred or so yards towards the gates.

we finally have our own board jesus lol

well not our own board but you know

You get a few confused looks from base personnel, but nobody questions you. Clearly the person escorting two giant and potentially dangerous dog-beasts onto the premise knows what he is doing.

wasted an MMS. good thing...

Gus pops flares, does maneuvers, the usual.

I'm trying to conserve flares, since I just wasted more than I needed. I do some more evasive maneuvers to see if I can get that missile to forget about me.
use this one

"... Defending!" Richard's forehead gushes waterfalls as he asks himself just exactly where the forget did he go wrong to let the Wyvern lodge itself deep in his six. Nobody is free to clear his tail. If he is to last longer than twenty seconds, he must think fast.

Fast.

If the Sabre can't out-turn the Wyvern, it can outrun it.

Weightlessness takes hold of Richard's body as he pitches down into a steep, meandering dive.

>mfw the two players with the best firing position spend their entire turns evading instead of shootin' n' scootin'
I'd update right now but frankly I'm too astronomically disappointed in these two choices of action. You are both in a position to do something helpful, but instead you focus entirely on your own survival. If you were only hurting yourselves, I'd let this slide, but by being completely defensive and making no attempt to deal any damage you are dooming the rest of the team. You guys have until I get over myself to grow a pair and change these self-centered and horrendously suboptimal choices. At least this is just a simulation, and nobody is actually being shot down.

At least i'm not the only one that forgeted up #50!!!

I fire off an artemis assisted barrage of 5 heatseekers at the enemy squadron, popping off one single flare after I fire the barrage.

"Hey Tourist, your squadmates aren't going to make it out alive on our next assignment if you keep flying in straight lines and evading."

"Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm kind of out of it today, and I'm not sure why."
