put some bombs or missiles into the cruiser lift devices

Gus fires off an AAM at the VTOL along with a burst of LCP fire.

It's easier to do that if the point defense turrets and the laser cannons are out of commission, besides, your wing is supposed to be taking care of the other two cruisers.

briefing music
: Two days ago, elements from the 45th Armored Regiment broke through the Huit lines outside Tultitlan. Since then, said element has ended up encircled and is currently attempting to take shelter inside the city until friendly forces can break them out. You'll be providing close air support for the encircled group while Raiden helps the rest of the regiment get to their position, or at least open a path of retreat. When we last heard from the trapped tankers, they reported two Maglev Dirigibles approaching their location, as well as an uncounted number of enemy armored and infantry targets. Prepare for lots of enemy armor, but don't count on the skies being clear. I doubt whoever's in charge of this operation would send those airships in without fighter support, or VTOLS at the least. And don't worry about the Sky Marshal, ten minutes ago he was reported attacking Mercanan supply ships off the northern coastline. We won't be seeing him today.

Mission Specifics (this will probably become a recurring thing so if you have any suggestions for things to put in this section, let me hear them)
Time of Day: Noon
Weather: Partly Cloudy
Predicted enemy presence:
  Armor: Heavy
  Anti-Air: Negligible
  Conventional Air Support: Light
  Unconventional Air Support: Heavy

man those briefings sure are useful

or an elite squad in T5 fighters

that doesn't mean you shouldn't carry any competent heavy ordinance or JSMs

Walt fires his KSM straight into the bridge of the cruiser

forget me, I actually missed! The result of Richard's distracted shooting and bad trigger discipline become clear as the PPC beam streaks across the front of the second cruiser, far behind his intended target. Trying to calm himself down, he breaks off from the VTOL and circles around, this time setting his sights on the cruiser. He takes another shot with the PPC at the cruiser's bridge.

preference not designation

I pull high enough above the deck of the turbo-laser cruiser to fire off my other two AGMs at the already-damaged gun. Then, next turn, I dive back down, or, if the laser is destroyed, I climb up above.

If he was going to appear, I would not have said "we won't be seeing him today" in the briefing.

One turn at a time, please.

The destruction of tens of thousands of tons of war material is probably several times more important than an isolated armored division taking cover in a city.

I just wanted to make a suggestion to kill the cruisers faster, I'm sorry I guess
