Jaakko does a canopy roll and dives on the opposite side of the gunship. He fires four AAMs down on to the Sky Marshal, and fires the UAC, aiming for the gunship's engine deck.

The LAMS shoots down your all-aspects, and the UAC barely slows it down.

"... Crash," Richard calls out with an eerie calmness, "I'm going to appoint you the new actual." He pushes the lever forward past the overdrive detent. "Before I do, I have one last order for all of you." The Talon groans as it weaves around on its path to the Sky Marshall's roosterpit.

"Get as far away from the gunship as you can."

You pull up next to the roosterpit just in time for the missiles to reach your plane. The resulting explosion engulfs both the Talon and Tlacelel's entire plane, and lights up the airfield to almost midday conditions for several seconds before fading out.

Gus turns around and bolts towards the Sky Marshal, firing off both AAMs at Sabre 1-2.

Before the missiles can reach the target, Geary's fusion engine detonates and the Sabre flies straight into the blast.



Ground Music

Tippy makes a beeline for the walker spraying her machine gun and lobbing another missile + shell at the enemy

The missile strikes the walker dead-center, blowing through the flimsy front armor and setting off the flamer fuel tank in the process. When the explosion finally clears, all that remains is a slagged wreck of a lower torso standing atop a pair of legs, which, now lacking any gyro-stabilization, fall forward onto the ground. As it hits the dirt, everything around you is illuminated by the explosion going off overhead.

Walt heads to COMRO yeah just remembered the cut off bit

Walt starts to head away not fully believing what has happened as he begins to climb.

"This is Walt, I'm tagging out, I'll see you wherever the rendezvous is. My aircraft cannot sustain anymore damage."

Bell turns to look in the direction of the base after the light captures the attention of everyone who can see out the transport.

"stuff.."

Her heart sinks at the prospect of the entire squadron possibly being obliterated.

Walt heads to COMRO not fully believing what has happened.

"stuff!" Jaakko smashes the roosterpit wall.

Tears well up in his eyes and he feels like the entirety of these loses were preventable by himself.

He pulls together what focus he can.

"Walt- Get out of here, disengage, crash on the highway if you have to but do not die,"

Jaakko cloaks and prepares to address the last guard.

"Gus, you're free to engage ground...," Jaakko trails off, fighting shock.

Tippy wastes no time turning on the soldiers who were now illuminated, and holds down the trigger on her MMG firing another missile and sends another wild shell from her UAC towards the ones in cover

"I WILL GRIND YOU INTO A PULP!"

Gus looks back over after the fusion engine detonates. His heart sinks to the bottom of his stomach as he searches for a chute without any real hope of finding it. Altitude warning noises bring him back to his senses, and he pulls up away from the ground.

The radio has been on for some time. For a moment, Gus forgets how to speak. He stumbles over the first few syllables.

"...Crash-" He coughs and realizes his throat is uncharacteristically dry. "-I'm going to go help the ground forces."

He aims for the Huit lines, holding down the trigger unsympathetically until heat warnings force him to stop.

Backstory: Ellie was born in South Aesthia to a good family. Her father was a pilot for the Principality's air force and became a commercial pilot after he retired from the military. Her mother worked in the aerospace industry and frequently brought her work home while the family was living in South Aesthia. Brigham picked up on the Gothic language early from her father and her study of the language began as soon as she entered primary school; her family moved to NUAC when Ellie was 9 because her mother was offered a lucrative job by an aerospace company there. When Ellie was 19, she enlisted with the air force and originally trained for flying reconnaissance missions, but became a fighter pilot later on. She has mostly fought on the GTO front against the Imperium.

Description: 5'8", Brown hair and brown eyes, pretty much unremarkable there.

Personality: Ellie tries to keep things positive for herself in spite of the war; she tries to keep past losses from haunting her, though she does reflect back on her mistakes. She is pretty much approachable but clearly differentiates between friends and acquaintances.

They continue flying in a straight line, unsure of how to react to what just transpired.

Though it's impossible to tell for certain whether or not you actually got anyone, the flash of the pulse lasers blasting holes in the ground where people once stood is almost as satisfying.

You cut down several men in the open and blow away another vehicle being used as cover with the cannon.

The last two walkers start running up towards you from behind, alerting you to their presence with a laser streaking past your field of view.

Gus strafes the two walkers charging Tippy, holding down the trigger once more and slowing down to maximize his time on target.

Jaakko rolls in behind the last guard and trails him. Tears well up faster than he can blink them out, and it interferes with any targeting solution he could get for a UAC shot. He is left with a few AAMs however.

He fights himself over whether or not to shoot down the last man. A thought enters his head; do not make the same mistake twice.

Jaakko twinges and fires an accidental UAC shot. It misses horribly. The veil around his aircraft falls. He yells in the roosterpit as he has forced his own hand. He fires his remaining three AAMs on to the Sabre.
