ABS FIESTA REDUX

[Mr. Hurricane]

Jaakko wipes his eyes and listens to Walter greeting a new guy. He then hears Gus' idea about going to the infirmary.

"Gus, I'll head to medical with you, but I'm going to see Bell and straighten out the chain of command,"

He turns to the Raiden pilots.

"You coming?"

[Ad Bot]

[Badger]

"Oh, uh- Hello. I'm Markus. I just got transferred, are you guys Mjolnir flight?"
I shake his hand.

Walt's expression changes for a moment as he thinks about how higher up has already found replacements, but realizes they were probably previously transferred.

He goes back to smiling very shortly

"Well, I can tell you you're much needed in this flight right now. Regardless of you being new."

He then pauses to block out the previous mission from his thoughts.

" Welcome to Mjolnir, I would introduce you to the other squad members but I don't know how they're doing after this mission or if they're up for chit-chat."

Gus walks off with Jaakko towards the infirmary.

[Gojira]

"Thanks, I guess. I'll introduce myself later."

[Badger]

"Thanks, I guess. I'll introduce myself later."

"I don't think they'll be going to far for a bit, we all need some recooperation from our previous mission."

"What's your callsign Markus? Better I learn it now than in the air. "

[Gojira]

"Scorch. You?"

[Badger]

"Just Walt, it was just a simple one that I picked up from my previous flight and it stuck. Easy to Remember. "

[Tayasaurus]

Tippy stops moping and stands up from her seat finally after killing all the grief in her system.

"I'm going to go look for some showers. You should all do the same so you don't stink to high heaven."

she enters through the door and leaves to search for a place to wash off the blood.

Gus stands up slowly, uneasily. He is reminded by the ache in his legs that Ilona is in the infirmary. "How bad is Ilona hurt? If she's conscious we should probably go give her the update."

He turns to the Raiden pilots.
"You coming?"

: I just got back from seeing her, she said she was going to try to sleep. Amputations really take a lot out of you.

She blinks in horror as she realizes what she just said.
: That- I swear, I wasn't trying to make a joke. She's tired, is what I meant.

Gus walks off with Jaakko towards the infirmary.

The infirmary is quite crowded; lots of people in there with gunshot and shrapnel wounds, and more than a few cases of serious burns. Musashi is asleep in a bed near the entrance, hooked up to an IV blood bag and missing her right leg from slightly above the knee.

"I'm going to go look for some showers. You should all do the same so you don't stink to high heaven."
she enters through the door and leaves to search for a place to wash off the blood.

After a bit of asking around, you are directed to the showers.

I look at the dark-haired woman with the glowing eyes.
"May I ask who you are?"

[Mr. Hurricane]

"Let's not disturb her, c'mon, let's find Bell," Jaakko whispers to Gus.

Jaakko is hurt to see the Raiden pilot robbed of her mobility and health, though it pales in comparison to what happened a few hours ago.

Everything seemed surreal, the scramble before the battle over the air base had made him feel like he was the master of his own world, and in touch with it. Now it felt like that none of it could have happened at all, easily.

I look at the dark-haired woman with the glowing eyes.
"May I ask who you are?"

"I'm the door just closing nice to meet you"

[Badger]

I think he meant Nagato

And here I thought we were just talking about a lacerated artery. Gus looks on at the disabled pilot for a moment before following Jaakko.

"Let's not disturb her, c'mon, let's find Bell," Jaakko whispers to Gus.

i'd have to hear from operator to confirm, but considering bell's injuries she's probably in the infirmary too
