Faw watches the flak shell cut through the transporter's door and explode inside the troop compartment. The transporter then turns around and start to retreat.

"One VTOL is down, whoever was inside the troop compartment is incapacitated."

He turns his head and surveys the combat zone. A VTOL is landing on a rooftop. He takes his time to line up with the stationary target and fires a single HSM at it.

"Firing missile at the target. Hope this doesn't damage the building too much."

Already in the process of landing, the VTOL is unable to take any evasive action. It is struck in the port engine and veers into a different building, coming down in the space between it and the intended rooftop. A potentially survivable crash, but definitely one that could cause some major injuries among those aboard.

From where everyone is, you can see the sun reflecting off many small objects dropping from the cloud.
: Assault pods!
: It can't be, they're more than a mile away from the base.

The dog could easily pull Jaakko over.

"Command, I've downed a transporter but Izzy may have survived the impact."

Faw clicks in over the radio to speak to Raiden.

"I wouldn't be surprised if the Zents are dropping power armor on us. How tightly packed are the pods? I could probably hit a few with a single flak shell."

Walter lurches the shikra to a stop and shuts down the engines, after opening the roosterpit he scans around his surroundings.
