Bell waves back at Faw.

"I'm doing some work with my family's air freight company during the leave, and I'm looking for a shift pilot for some cargo flights. It's pretty safe work because none of the flights go outside the border or above the warzone in the south. If you're interested, I'm heading out with Ellie tomorrow in my car."
Faw zips up a duffel bag full of assorted stuff from Roger's room.

"Sure. If you don't mind me asking, what company is it? I might've heard of it back home."

"Pioneer Logistics, they do a fair amount of air and helo transport to isolated communities in the north and the mountains where I'm from."

Bell hands a small folder with the flight plans and schedule to Faw.

"Anyways, it'll only be for a week."

Cualli sits next to him on the couch. "I heard that you'll be on the carrier when we leave." She looks at him and continues in a more light-hearted tone. "It's just what you've always wanted: having to live in close quarters with your squad," she grins.
: Oh, boy. I've always wanted to live on a submarine, with corridors so narrow you have to sidestep down them and only enough water for 10 second showers. Only difference with an airship is if something goes wrong, we won't get crushed to death by water and drown, we'll just fall from 40,000 feet.

Jaakko recalls the last time Mjolnir had leave. It hadn't been all that long ago considering how squadrons are usually rotated.

"Any guess on where you'll be stationed when you come back?" he asks.

Talko looks to the ceiling in bliss as he is pet. Jalko studies Musashi's seat.

"Mm, you sound thrilled," she muses. "I'm sure it can't be that bad, though."

"Do you know who you get to bunk with yet?"

: [whosagoodboy? You are! Yes you are!]
: Er... well, no, actually.
: We may not even come back. Not back here, not to Aesthia.

"Mm, you sound thrilled," she muses. "I'm sure it can't be that bad, though."
"Do you know who you get to bunk with yet?"
: If it's anything like our surface carriers- er, carrier, I'm going to be bunking in the same place as the other pilots on board. You enlisted guys are probably gonna get something even stufftier.

"Pleasant," Cualli groans, rolling her eyes. "And it'll be an even bigger change for me. I won't be able to go to my own home at the end of the day to relax."

"Hope my plants don't die."

"What makes you say that?"

: You might want to give them to a friend or family member.

"What makes you say that?"
: We haven't been told where we're being deployed next, only that we're being rotated home now. After that, who knows. Aesthia isn't the only front still being fought on.

: You might want to give them to a friend or family member.
"I suppose I could give them to someone else living on-base for the time being. I'd take them with me, but... I don't think they'd get much sun, or much water. And space is obviously scarce, so... yeah." Cualli sighs and looks at the TV.

Eremit doesn't pick up the conversation from there, so you're left watching the TV for a while. Currently, a human officer and a yartik officer are arguing in what you gather to be some sort of war meeting. The former is criticizing the latter for their people not sharing intel on troop movements and ongoing operations with other members of the alliance; while the latter posits that in light of recent security leaks and exposed spies in the other members' governments, perhaps it is for the best that they are left uninformed on critical details.

Meanwhile in tippyland, it's 6:30 the next morning (this doesn't mean that time has changed for everyone else) and Pansar is banging on her room door shouting that it's time to get up.

Tippy opens the door up already in full dress and her bags packed.

"Hey, i've been awake. I've just been...busy."

"...I've never actually watched this show. What's going on?" Cualli asks after several long moments of silence.

: The humans, the guys with the compound eyes, the two squid-faces, and the cyborgs have all teamed up to fight some extragalactic menace. But they all hate each other and used to be fighting each other, so now this is happening.

: You ready yet? Let's go.

Jalko jams his head in between Talko and Musashi.

"Wherever you're going, it's probably got better living conditions than a sky carrier," Jaakko comments.
