"I appreciate it."
Gus sighs and rubs his temples.
"Can't wait to hear what the Marshal says about this."
At the debriefing, the two Marshals have a lot to say about the drill. None of it is particularly positive. Sky Marshal Kazimir Tarkirov is particularly displeased.

:
Fifty-nine minutes and
seventeen seconds. That's
one plane every
three minutes. One of our surface carriers would be able to launch a plane every
twenty seconds. A dreidecker? One every
five. I am aware that most of this crew is unfamiliar with these conditions, but this performance is unacceptable. I want the drills to continue until we can clear both decks in no less than fifteen minutes.
The rest of the debrief is Vice Marshal Lawniczak pointing out in detail what went wrong and how to improve. In all, the meeting takes two hours, and it's almost midnight by the time it ends. Everyone is dismissed for the night, only for Jaakko, Bell, and Tippy to be ordered to report to the recovery deck as they make their way to their quarters.
(Note: The Tordenskjold is currently flying north through the arctic circle, so it would be wise to bundle up. Heavy clothes are provided in the closet in your quarters.)
