He flips the top half of the cover back so you can read it - Guns, Grenades, and Gladii.
: There's an article in here on the BV527, civilian-ized SCAR clone produced by Beck & Vinter.
"Wow, has that rifle even been released yet? It's been a while since the last article I read on it."

Jaakko puts his book down and shakes his head. The book isn't in Aesthian.
"Two losses for three airships. Gaffe was one of the losses. Kid just got his new name today too," he replies, "the other was Yui. Haven't heard from her since she punched out. We know Gaffe is down there though."
: Oh. I'm... sorry to hear that. I hope they can get out of there in one piece.

"Wow, has that rifle even been released yet? It's been a while since the last article I read on it."
: Yup. Just this month, in fact.

He decides to run again towards the extraction point and look out for snipers. Anything to distract his mind from the mental war happening within.
You arrive at the rendezvous point around two hours after you started, and the Kintharians attempt to communicate.
: [First things first: Can you understand a word I'm saying?]

The distant roar of jet engines approaches from the southeast.

Graf listens to the Kintharian speak her native tounge and does not understand one bit of it.

"Ma'am, I do not understand Kintharian. Please get a translator." he speaks, hoping she at least understood 'translator'.

Virvel's expression almost seems disingenuous to Jaakko, who is weary of her tendency for bloodlust.

"The plan is to help SAR if we get the time, but with that drone having followed us here, I'm not sure if we'll be able to go out,"

He studies the cover of the book in his hands, then the back. The missions result and the possibility of going back up had gotten on his nerves.

Put the book down.

"It's got to be convenient, I think a piece of tinted poly carbonate or something just inside would work best. You could ask some other engineers if you're not sure what to do."

"Right."

Cualli turns her attention back to Arkhip. "Sorry-- you said something about the whole thing being one close scrape. What did you mean by that?"

Walter looks over at the skepna again at the mention of scraping but opts to remain silent.

Graf hears the sound of jet engines growing louder.

"Does anyone hear jet engines? Is the team scheduled to arrive about now?" he asks, hoping someone can understand him.

Yui waves at the other dead members of Mjolnir from across the lake.

Markus looks around the room, and at the members of Djuriskas, looking for something to read.

"Right."

: I mean, it was all... look, I'll have to tell you about it later, I'm supposed to be somewhere else right now. Good luck with the repairs.

: Well, if you need a pilot for the recovery vehicle, I'd be happy to help.

There are magazines.

: Shh.

She holds up a finger this time as the engines get exponentially louder
: Shh! [Stop talking! ...Do any of you hear that? It's coming from downtown.]

Markus picks up a magazine at random and checks out the cover.

: I mean, it was all... look, I'll have to tell you about it later, I'm supposed to be somewhere else right now. Good luck with the repairs.
Cualli looks at the planes in the hangar again. "Thanks. I'll need it."

Graf stays silent as he wonders what can make that type of noise.

Whoever is up there. I call to you, whatever deity, in my time of need, to help us in the times where we need you. He had never done prayer before, but it seems now is the time to start. He finishes his silent prayer and waits.

Hilbert then begins formulating different scenarios in his head - incoming special forces raid, bombardment, among others.

"If you're up to it, sure. Until then we're stuck here,"

Jaakko doesn't fidget with the book.

"Well, I should also ask one last thing. If you could grab the gun cam footage from the Skepna and bring it to the crew quarters that'd be appreciated, Just leave it in my room or give it to Klara if I'm not around."

"Don't know if I can deliver it to pilot's quarters, since I'm not an officer, but I can probably get the footage. But I'll do what I can," she assures him.
