: Looks like someone didn't assess their situation properly, now we all might get killed by the Kintharians. We'll pull back as soon as the Wyvern clears the area, that's if he gets back. The rest of you in the distraction flight and strike flights, start making your way back to the Tordenskjold.

Ash's lack of ground attack experience becomes apparent as the Wyvern is suddenly skewered with a host of directed energy beams. The radar warning receiver sirens the coming of another set of SAMs.
"[forget!]"
Ash drops his remaining chaff and brings the Wyvern back around towards Volk street in a high-G turn. For the last stretch before the roadway, he goes into guns defense to evade any additional DEW attacks.

Gus hangs back, dropping a packet of flares and chaff at the Volk street entrance to aid in the Wyvern's evasion. He himself stays erratic to discourage LAMS or LCB fire.

Walter looks down at his legs to examine their state as he becomes accustomed to the pain emitting from them.
You are met with the sight of blackened skin fused with your tattered uniform. Cracks in some of the worst-afflicted areas reveal the glistening red flesh below, and in some places, you even think you can see bone. All in all, it's a pretty ghastly sight, and is giving off an even worse smell.

"I'm going to need a medical team when I land, I don't know if I'm able to use my legs."
A medical team is waiting for your arrival, and whisks you off to the medbay as soon as you touch down.

Gus sets the MiG down on the carrier uneasily. Another Mjolnir member lost.

He hops out of his plane and heads towards the already-landed Skepna immediately, but Walt is no where to be found, likely already in medbay. He gets the attention of a nearby engineer, already scowling at the sight of the battered gunship.

"What in the hell happened? One moment, Walt was fine, and the next he was screaming in pain."

The engineer looks at you, then tilts his head towards the plasma cannon while gesturing with his hand. Despite the time that has passed, there is still visible heat shimmer coming off the faintly-glowing weapon housing. A few of the coolant coils along the side of the weapon have ruptured, and are dripping what's left of their contents on the hangar floor.

Gus shakes his head angrily, grunting out a thanks and making a note to speak to Bell or the Sky Marshal about this. He makes his way back towards the rest of the flight as they land.

Bell gets out of the Condottierro after the rest of the crew have already disembarked, she heads towards Gus to see what happened.

: Hey Gus, do you know what happened to Walt?
