Author Topic: Steam controller revealed: its ugly as hell  (Read 7736 times)

This looks like what would happen if a Xbox 360, PS3, and GameCube controller all combined into one. I can't really judge it because I haven't used or even held one yet. Who knows, maybe this might actually be the best controller ever made for gaming, you never know. I guess if it comes out I'll get it and compare it to my Xbox 360 controller and see which one works better for me.

Can get an xbox controlled for €15 wich is probably better then that.
Yeahh.... No.

Controller is $50
They should make a cheaper $25 one with no wireless or rumble.
That's what Logitech did.

Also, it has dual-stage triggers. Clickable triggers. Like the gamecube controller.

I would actually prefer a wired version

So uh
Am I the only one who likes the design?

Looks to me like it's the only new controller idea since the Wii-U gamepad.

The 4 letter buttons look much too small :c

Maybe it's because the controller is huge.

has anyone here even touched this controller? pretty sure people said the same thing about the gamecube controller or any controller ever when they were first shown and they still end up feeling comfortable. wait until you've actually held it until you form your opinion.

They are perfectly fine in stating their opinions based on the looks. They can say "this controller looks like it is going to be uncomfortable," but they shouldn't be saying that "the controller is uncomfortable to hold" unless they have actually tried it like you said.

"ungrateful"?? unless someone's gonna give it to me for free there's nothing ungrateful about not liking it
lol excuse my poor word choice. maybe "extremely picky " would fit better

He, as a consumer, has the right to dislike a product based on looks and not pay for it.

the difference is that a controller isn't a fashion trend and shouldn't be judged on how it looks, but how it feels and plays.
