Author Topic: can anyone recommend me a good mmorpg based off my specifications?  (Read 1152 times)

i do not have my home computer, my setup consists of a stuffty laptop. me and my dad tomorrow are going to be playing an mmo, and i need some recommendations quick

i'm looking forrrrr:
A game that lacks P2W content (for a better understanding, no unbalanced given classes and buyable classes or an insane amount of buyable weapons)

A game that isn't system intensive, or otherwise requires good specs. Also, the max download size must be 5 gigabytes.

i'm not looking for:
A game that's insanely new (like, just released on steam or some stuff)

A game that features lewd elements

games i've played before and thought were meh
Path of Exile, D&D Online, SWTOR (mainly because it's p2w), RuneScape and EverQuest II

games i've played before and thought were good
Marvel Heroes 2015, Trove, Tera, Aion, Neverwinter

recommendations anyone?

right now i'm trying dragon nest, though i am not fond of nexon

RotMG lacks p2w and isn't system intensive, but it's not that new or anything

It's also very fun and very frustrating at the same time.

It also has a few lewd sprites.

I would like to say Defiance but I haven't played it ever since it got in F2P so I don't know what's the in-game shop about.

>non system intensive
>max download size =
>reads op
>OH stuff

no i'm joking but really, defiance looks awesome, if only my home pc was working good.

also, i am not going to take a second look at rotmg

i have played it with a buddy for years, and honestly we had good times before it fell into all-out horror. almost all of the good items that would help you among your quest to level 20 were bought with real money. well, you don't have to spend a cent, but i always stored the items i bought with my paypal gift cards. it's always good practice to store items kids, because once you die, permanent disgrace is brought upon your soul.

no but really, i'm enjoying dragon nest. anyone else up for a turn at the table?

Idk Defiance worked really well on a bad computer.
I don't think I aced the max download size though. Baka me, the folder is 14 GB. Gg no re.

How about Wakfu? I think they removed the F2P limits on the Steam version. Heavily P2P. Not OP kind of P2P but restrictive kind of P2P.

wtf
buying items from the store?
they're so expensive and overpriced and junky
all the good items are easier to get through trading with other players or just going through dungeons

KotOR and KotOR2. I've played both more than 5 times. KotOR2 is pretty bland compared to KotOR but still good. They're both singleplayer and not resource-intensive. You might even have issues with high amounts of RAM or a very fast processor.

singleplayer
seems like being an mmorpg is important to the topic, which would be multiplayer?

Didn't read the MMO, my bad.
