Author Topic: How do I get good in CS: GO?  (Read 3685 times)

thats only because csgo recoil is handicapped
it doesn't go in the crosshair, it jumps out of it and above it. it works completely differently from css which is what initially turned me away from the game

i played a few times and sucked because i was used to playing css. people told me that csgo has a better recoil system, and that's why i suck. it's bs imo

Don't reload unless you are sure it is safe. I used to reload right after getting kills and I would get domed by some kid with an AK walking around a corner.

Learn the spray patterns of the AK/M4. If you stare at a wall and hold m1 and don't move your mouse, you'll see every gun has a distinct spray pattern, there is a slight degree of randomness but very little. You can do the inverse of the spray pattern movement with your mouse in order to keep your bullets concentrated on an area. (e.g if the spray pattern was a line from left to right, you'd move your mouse left steadily. this example pattern is very simplified, the actual ones are more complex shapes)

I've got 71 hours into it so far and I still feel like I'm horrible.
Add me on steam if you feel like playing, Setro

Play as much as you can. Gamesense > aim.

Focus as MUCH as you can on how people play. Like, how others think. Once you can predict what the enemy will do at any given time, and choose your own movements strategically in a second, you've got the upper hand. Recoil patterns come second.

Don't buy a UMP when you have $9000. If you "suck with the M4/AK", use it in order to get better with it.

it's like that in every CS ever

Don't play. Seriously, the community is so toxic its almost sickening. Also, don't join a friend if he is better than you. chances are he is going to play competitive and you WILL get stuff on like a public toilet. Its best just to uninstall the game and go play something where the community isn't full of toxic starfishs.

Also every gun in the game has no recoil but still shoots in every direction the enemy isnt. Im not kidding, i could do the whole crouch and fire thing yet ill only hit an enemy once while he just jumped and is running and can get 5 good shots on me. Its ridiculous.

Real talk though the CS:GO community is without a doubt the worst online community. 20-30 percent of the players are actively trying to ruin your time

and you say this on the blockland community?

TIL almost everyone on BLf is definitely lower Silver

The key is to play the game a lot, think about the game a lot, and watch others play the game a lot. Make sure you're running private servers by yourself to check out each of the maps, and get comfortable with the pros and cons of each weapon and item.

Try and find more casual servers when you start, and as your reflexes and tactical thinking increases, try and move on to servers that are more competitive.

It's really generic advice, but that's because it's the same for many games. It's really about practice and pushing yourself to go that extra mile. The people who build a great body shape have to work extremely hard to get as good as they are, and the professional CS players have been playing for years.

Practice, find a map that you really like and are good at (mine is Dust II) and find the weapon that you are most comfortable with and you are good with (I'm best with Swat)

...what?

...what?
I think he means to say that he's better with the Counter Terrorist weapons.

Anyway, pistols are the most comfortable for me, especially the P250 and the Tec-9. I love those guns with a passion, and I only ever started using the P250 because that was my first skin that I got.
