this is a accurate picture of me defending a base in clan wars in mwo

I hope you get run over by an atlas.
mass effect atlas, titanfall atlas, or mechwarrior atlas?
actually why not all three.

I hope you get run over by an atlas.
Sorry you were objectively wrong. Mechwarrior is a slow-paced game.

Maybe you've played way too much online. MW 1-4 are fast paced, with a lot of strategy packed into quick skirmishes. MWO on the other hand is a wild card. MWO is slooooow and barely any strategy or tactics even happen unless you play with a group or clan.

In some aspects MWO is much faster than previous titles (reload rates and turn/acceleration rates of mechs), but matches can be pretty stagnant sometimes yeah.

>MW4
>Fast
You are out of your loving mind, the average TTK in that game is measured in tens of seconds, "evasive maneuvers" are practically unheard of, and everything handles like it weighs hundreds of tons (like it should). Hawken is fast-paced. Armored Core is fast paced. Mechwarrior objectively is not, unless you're doing lights-only Solaris, and even then calling that "fast" is a tremendous stretch.

I've barely found it to be slow or sluggish. Heavy mechs may prolong the battle, but things can change quickly at any moment. I've played over hundreds of skirmishes and they have always been fast and exciting. Whatever, it must be perception, Wispfire would agree with me.

That doesn't make the game fast-paced. Having logged plenty of hours of MW4 and Living Legends, I can safely say that while the games are indeed engaging and exciting, they are not "fast" in the slightest. Even when my brother and I were jumping dunes in Harasser Ds I wouldn't have called that "fast paced". Yes, we were moving incredibly quickly and our engagements were short and tense, but we still spent most of our time looking for rather than engaging targets, and the entire match lasted about a half an hour. That is not a loving fast-paced game. Hawken is fast, you spawn in and within a minute you're engaged a firefight. Mechwarrior is not like that at all.

Wispfire would agree with me.
He would be wrong.

What? Even Mechwarrior Online is slow as forget. There's like, 3 kills per round half the time. Yeah the game can get intense as forget, but there's nothing fast about the game except the super small mechs (and if you don't take that stuff slow and strategic you can kiss your ass goodbye)

Did you even read my post, I said MWO is slow.

You said that MWO is a wildcard and MW1-4 are fast. MWO is just as slow as any Mechwarrior 1-4 game. Nothing about either of these games or their engagements is random or fast. They all have the same basic core strategy and you are pretty much just objectively wrong.

That doesn't change the fact that your medium of movement is slow as forget from the perspective in the roosterpit. Those things are going nowhere fast, and it's like playing in molasses. On the other hand, HAWKEN is like playing Counter-Strike in giant robots, which can be considered fast-paced, to an extent. The reasons behind this is because of the inclusion of dashes to maneuver in and out of cover rapidly, (if I recall correctly) whereas in Mechwarrior, once you're within the sights of somebody, you better be prepared to commit. Maneuvering is not an option in Mechwarrior.
In addition, level design in games is, surprise, important when it comes to determining whether a game is fast or slow-paced. There's a reason why HAWKEN can be considered fast-paced, and it's because there's actually cover to duck behind in that game. Mechwarrior generally doesn't have a whole lot of that, and why the forget would it. You'd poke your dumb head over the cover anyways. Armored Core's level design is also a mixture of both, having huge open spaces alongside areas of cover, and with the maneuverability afforded to you in those games, you can take full advantage of ducking behind cover for brief moments to cause missiles to crash, or even just bounce back and forth using thrusters to avoid damage entirely. That is something that can be considered "fast-paced", because you are capable of rapid movement and retaliation through repositioning. Mechwarrior isn't fast-paced because it's literally slow. Who the forget thinks it's fast.

The battletech universe has some better mech designs like the Thanatos, Cougar, Thor, Atlas, etc. Junkyard mechs don't do it for me.

Realistically though mechs are useless, vehicles are just better and cheaper.
