 The mighty nation of Greece decides that it would be use to set up copious amounts of soldiers on the land borders, in an attempt to stop illegal immigration to their country and be more secure from any other form of attacks.

 In recent news: Greece has recently attempted to open goldmines in Chalkidiki in order to extract raw gold and smelt it into gold ores, the goal of doing this is still not known, it's suspected that this gold will be used for trading purposes.

 Also in, it appears that the government's movement of constructing a wall to obstruct immigrants from sneaking into the country has angered quite a few non-greek citizens and lead them into protesting due to the fear of their family members not being allowed into the country, it is not known as to whether or not this will prevent people from seeing their family, Greek officials have stated that the president is going to make his official statement on this matter soon.

I thought about it but in long term researching for mars is better because it serves as a gateway to the rest on the solar system.

researching on mars doesn't make it a gateway, putting stuff on mars makes it a gateway
the research on mars is stuffty since it is literally nothing but a rock with ice caps, while venus has a complex atmosphere and (insert all reasons previously listed)

you can still use mars as a gateway but in orbit rather than on the surface: this means less fuel wasted landing and taking off again
