SANG Air Corps members of the 78th Regiment are jointly awarded the Iron Crescent award, the highest military honour in Saudi Arabia, for their actions in the Iraqi capital. They spearheaded the push into Baghdad, accounted for the most enemy casualties among Saudi forces and were the first into Saddam's palace.
SANG begins to return to Iraqi while the standard Saudi Arabian army remains to keep order and peace. Insurgent attacks have become commonplace, and while there have been few casualties so far, it isn't expected to stay that way for long.
