A new Halo game is being made for PC, it's a F2P game built on the Halo 3 engine and they're intending for it to run smoothly on lower-end PCs.

The closed beta is starting this spring and it will be exclusive in Russia at the moment, this is built as a PC game and there are no plans to release it to Xbox

How do you feel about this?

Looks great anyway. I'd love to play some classic Halo 3-style Halo on my PC.
But did you see the loadout stuff? I think there may be buyable things. (which makes sense because it's F2P)

looks neat, i usually brush off halo stuff but in reality i played Halo CE multiplayer on my brother's laptop all the damn time when i was a kid. im p sure it was my first MP experience and i actually loved that game even tho i sucked lol

it looks like you can buy things either with ingame currency or payed currency. unless there's things exclusive to the latter, i'm going to wait for more information before judging it.

I'm willing to bet that paid stuff is going to be armor and other stuff that doesn't affect the gameplay.
And probably map packs. There's always map packs.

I don't mind microtransactions in F2P games, they have to make money somehow. If they do sell stuff outside of cosmetics like weapons and stuff that can give a player an advantage they need to be able to be earned in game.

Cosmetics = Okay to sell

Weapon skins that don't give the player an advantage = Okay to sell

Weapons that can give an advantage and can't be earned in-game = Not okay to sell
