i think it's more so that the arc of the week will be the pearl/garnet conflict that started today

thus "The group take a trip outside Beach City." to relax
thus "Steven and Amethyst explore Onion's house." to get away from the conflict
thus "Steven and Jamie take part in a local theater." for the same reason
thus "Friend Ship" to end off the week
