There are plenty of writers and directors who would be happy to write their own story to fit this premise.

yeah and it was a travesty

There is a difference between a boardgame and FNaF, the whole meta-story behind the three games can come into play somehow.
This one has more potential than a movie about a board game, regardless of who the writer is.

I might watch it to see if it's good, but I don't have high hopes.
