i have a bad feeling the someone, somewhere legitimately wants gabe's head on a plate

and then we already have people calling steam the next origin and boycotting it, i honestly feel bad for him because i know for a fact he doesn't deserve all the flak he is getting from everyone, and im surprised he hasn't got any death threats or just general threats at all yet, but i can see it happening real soon

Well made something like a Total Conversion and only get 25%, you might as well make your own game. Even then Valve takes a cut out of your profits.

In the real world the manufacturer makes a product and sells it to distributors to make a profit of the manufacturers product. Valve on the hand requires that the producer pay them to distribute the product the producer made and in turn take some of the profit that was earned.

Even in the steam market there is a 2-3 cent cut in digital item profits.

Valve is doing what any company seeks to do and that is make profits. They aren't bad like ea, but their image as a saint is starting show cracks. However they do have some bad business practices that I can further into detail on.
