Women are often paid less than men. There is currently a 20-25% pay gap, that's pretty not ok.
im pretty sure people have been over the fact that this statistic is based off of what jobs women take, their career choices, and how often they ask for raises (etc. etc.) and not a conscious decision to pay women less that male cohorts for the same job. if you believe that stuff you are playing right into the hands of crusty politicians who dont actually give a forget about women's rights.
I'm feeling a vibe here where people are mixing up the feminational socialists/idiot "feminists" you only see on the internet with level headed feminists you see in real life. Feminism seems to get a bad name because of the loud skanks who have made the term pretty much toxic. I would be considered a feminist because I believe for women to be completely equal to men. (You could say I'm biased because I grew up with two sisters.)
if the feminists you speak of were not teenagers with no real skill for argument building, or an actual ability to avoid being manipulated into believing false stuff (see above) then i'd say you got it backwards. "real life feminists" are often as vanilla and basic as you can get, especially western/white-centric feminism. you hardly ever see any mention of anyone other that cisgendered white women and, again, misguided efforts for equality in real life. though they have more credibility, they are certainly not better than 'le feminational socialists' on the internet which is why so many people say it's flawed.
