I don't hear adults calling each other "cunts" casually, but the word is certainly common language.
And people are free to use it as they see fit. Hence some people use solely to cause offence, and some use it as a joke or a term of endearment.
The English Language belongs to everyone. No individual, or group of people, gets to own a word and police who uses it.
And by the way, you're free to take offence (even on behalf of someone who isn't here and isn't currently taking offence), but everyone is still free to cause offence.
again, if they're ok with it that's fine because they're the ones that would be affected by that word. people that wouldnt be affected by that have no right to decide when it is and isnt offensive.
