Yeah my mom changed from optimum to fios. Is fios good? I'm about nervous about this change, plus the cable box is small as hell and came with its own Internet router.

As of now my mom is switching back to Optimum, she went to return the cables and remotes, but THEY OFFERED HER THE SAME DEAL FOR LESS MONEY. So after ONE day we are switching back, what a shame. I will still have the same Internet as before.

Optimum has better quality over fios. I recommend it more than fios.

yeah my mom decided to switch from optimum to fios, I'm not sure about the differences. I trust optimum more.

hell, anything's better than what i have. i asked for internet and my dad went to Verizon to buy what is essentially a toaster with network cables taped on it.

Dang, I miss having FiOS, my neighborhood only has Comcast available, which sucks horribly with internet and doesn't get boomerang (one of the few channels I watched) on TV

I used to have Time Warner Cable, and it was horrible. It used to be good, and then we switched to FiOS a few years ago. While I dislike their cable, I think their high-speed internet services are efficient and do the job. I will say though, that it does vary, depending on your location.

fios internet is some of the best you can get...i guess it maybe depends on your area. i live in new york city. just be sure you're getting fios and not "high speed verizon internet" which is really disgusting and only goes up to like 7 mb/s download speed.
