Is it okay to be a Sentient (As in smart) Deathclaw? They exist btw.
Edit: Just incase you don't believe me, here's the wiki post. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Intelligent_deathclaw
The Enclave didn't get the chance to be founded, and thus the deathclaws were never experimented on in this universe.
I saw a hand extend out in front of me in a blur of my weakened vision, I gazed at the figure with little to no human life, hours go by seeing figures crowd around me and I all I could determine that this was kingdom come
I was wrong
After looking around, dazed, a single hallucination fails to fade. You realize that it isn't an illusion. A man is sitting by your bedside with a smirk on his face. You notice that you can see the rest of the room somewhat clearly now, reinforcing the theory that you were blind.
"Well. Good to see you're awake. When we found you, you were on the edge of death... What's your name?"
i throw the rest of my empty beer cans over the wall and observe the glorious settlement of new america, the love child of a couple hoarders and doomsday preppers who were alive at the right time.
Being in the capitol of New America, you can see two bunkers -- both of which have very visible entrances on the surface. These are the bunkers that the first preppers, the ones who created this great nation, emerged from. Near them, you see a farm that's being tilled and several incomplete houses.
i walk over to him and say "alright, let's do this the easy way or the hard way, your choice."
"give me all your stuff or you're gonna have more than a hurt hip."
He is a weak man, and continues incoherently wailing in pain. You take his backpack, find a knife in it, and promptly get him to shut up by thrusting it through the side of his head. You check his clothes.
Overall, you've found:
A green backpack
A pocket knife (and not in his pocket. Classy.)
3 bottles of water
4 cans of beans
A sleeping blanket
I wake up in some stuffty dugout bunker. I can't wait til we actually get some form of fort. I go outside to see if there's anything good in the nearby city.
You recall that this bunker is located near Kankakee, a city that was evacuated when news spread that a nuke was headed for Chicago. Not much radiation traveled to Kankakee, though, making it a prime spot for looting.
Marcus drives to Camp Grayling to speak with the National Guard Commander there, Major Albourgh. Once he gets there he asks about setting up an outpost at Mackinac Island.
"We were already considering it, but we're low on capable managers. We don't need any gunslingers... You willing to be a pencil pusher over there?"
I go over and talk to the airmen
"Excuse me, could you tell me where this place is on the map?"
"We're on an island a small distance from Hill Air Force Base. We'd be in Hill right now, but it was one of the places that got hit when America collapsed. Not with anything nuclear, though- that's why we're close to it. Here's a map of Hill from before the war. We're at Antelope Island, to be clear."
