"I'll go look for a bike, thanks."
I go outside the tent and look around the runway, tents and fuel tanks for a bike.
You fail to find an unattended-to bike. There is a man on a bike, drinking a bottle of water, though.
Marcus accepts and suggests they fly it in via the airfield.
The fortifications are completed and Marcus begins laying out the foundation for the bigger picture: securing Mackinac, the land and lake around it, and the bridge. Little is needed to be done immediately, but getting good standing with the citizens will be necessary. Small groups of looters or hostile civilians roam around the countryside, and the immediate goal is constructing a fortified fencing just south of the city to wall them off from the southern part of the state. No small task.
While surveying the city and surrounding area, Marcus and 6 of his men come upon a group of 3 Saudi soldiers. They are unable to speak English, but luckily one of the men from Dearborn can translate. They don't seem friendly and won't say why they are there. One of the men suggests they take them prisoner.
Marcus agrees and his men quickly overpower them. They fly back to the island and interrogate them at the airfield.
The soldiers throw nothing but death threats your way, stating that when Saudi Arabia finds out about this, America will be nuked a second time.
I signaled the doctor for a pen and paper, for better discussion
He understands, and supplies you with writing material.
I quickly jump behind the front desk in a hope to hide from the armed men- if they start approaching the plan is to throw a bottle somewhere where I am not and then escape.
They pass, as your attempt to hide worked.
"No, sir." We gear up lightly. Rifles, ammo, chest plates, 2 litres of water to each man, two MREs each.
We head out on two ATVs, two men to a vehicle.
You stop a klick out of the suspected camp, and secure your ATVs. You approach the camp and spot the deserters, and your squad takes cover in the treeline. You haven't been spotted yet.
"that's it" i say "i need adventure!"
i grab all my supplies, stuff them into my green backpack, and burn the bunker
"goodbye, bunker" i say as i set off into the city to explore and find new friends
You travel to the city, and find that it is held by a mix of ex-US soldiers and Ukrainian peacekeepers, with a trace amount of civilian activity. The military is giving out rations and first aid kits.
