if this is stupid-talk for "a rendered vector image," the entire point is that i can render it at an arbitrarily large resolution
so i don't really see any situation where this compression is harmful

and they are hosting a lot of images. seems fair that they're going to compress the large ones
there are smaller less stuffty services with equal or greater traffic that not only don't compress images but are generally far far far less restrictive in terms of uploaded content
maybe they should put less time into their baby-leddit "community" lol

and i would agree with you if it was all images, but it only compresses images that should be compressed anyway.

basically i can see how this would be annoying for certain kinds of people in rare instances but in general if it's compressing something, it's something that ought to be compressed
but it makes sense for large images which are almost always screenshots or photographs
repeating yourself doesn't make yourself seem any less dumb
are you done yet. i see zero reason to use this website, it might be
acceptable at best if it was the only option, but there are many far better services in every way
