Encryption is a thing for a goddamn reason. Politicians and law enforcement are NOT immune to corruption and someone WILL use that to forget over innocent people.
And you know what the worst part is? They probably won't get caught because they're in positions of extreme power over people.

Don't jump the gun, I don't think anything will happen other than maybe a reduction in crime

Then stay home, lol... When you're in public you are indeed not... private

So I'm supposed to just trust that out of the tens of thousands of government workers with access to literally any piece of communication at the touch of a button, not a single one is going to abuse that power? No, that's not how security works. Someone will abuse it, and innocent people will be forgeted over. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Then stay home, lol... When you're in public you are indeed not... private
this is the stupidest thing I've heard

maybe wanting SNP wasn't a waste in the first place

they can see all my digital information
stuff like messages on steam and facebook and the like
things they shouldnt be able to see
which, coincidentally, is on my computer, which is in my home

Nothing will happen from it. Your connection is always surveyed anyway in case you didn't know...

1. I've already explained why something will happen from it
2. Yes, it is, but there's always been ways to make sure something is private by means of encryption. Using HTTPS, encrypted proxies and file sharing, stuff like that. What they're proposing is that they should have a way to see through the encryption, which would not only blast open the doors for abuse NOT ONLY BY GOVERNMENT, but by hackers as well.

The government will not be able to go that far anyway, so don't worry about it.

It's not plausible
