Author Topic: Stop the build stealing!  (Read 8105 times)

EDIT: Over exaggerated that a bit much, it was more like a couple thousands, but you get the point.

Just post your builds in the gallery. Problem solved.
Honestly the easiest solution. If you finish the build and don't want anyone else taking credit, go take pictures of it and put it onto the gallery. If you don't feel like it's worth putting on the gallery or something anyway, then why would you care if someone else took credit for your work?

And to cut off an argument before it starts, if you're going to have several people working on a build or something and you're afraid of someone else taking credit, just password your server and only give the people who are working/have worked on it access. If you can't trust those people, whatever, get rid of them. If you got backstabbed, you have the word of others to back you up.

I've had stuff like that before. When I found a server who stole my build, they'd deleted the credits and replaced it with their own name -_-.
This is the exact reason as to why putting 'credits' into the build doesn't work. It's the security blanket solution of this problem. Guess what? When someone saves your build, they can edit it. Just because it has your name on it in bricks doesn't mean it's magically protected from being edited out and replaced with their name instead.
