Souls Thread [Demon's, Dark 1, 2, 3, SotfS, BB] - Working as intended.

Okay, I've been trying to fix Dark Souls 1 not getting any nodes for online play but I can't seem to fix it. First I tried changing my download region, which instantly fixed the problem. Next time I played it did not work. I kept trying to switch download regions and it wouldn't fix it. I can't reset my router because I have no access to it (in a dorm). Also I used to be able to see some messages, but now I can't anymore.

I just verified my cache, and it says one file failed to validate and will be reacquired, but steam doesn't download anything. Could I be missing something? EDIT: It actually downloaded something it was just that quick.

blood-starved beast is actually super easy if you play insanely aggressive against it, it doesn't have any (iirc) moves that hit towards it's sides
the only move you have to watch out for is the grab attack and the big poison blast

I've restarted Dark Souls to encourage my friend (and play with him) and I forgot how to play lmao

I rushed through Quelag and already destroyed Havel but I'm still running around with the Drake sword. When I mean I forgot everything, I basically forgot everything

Since I havent played DS2 much, whats the deal with the health bar going down even time you die?? Can someone explain how that works

every time you die you become more hollow, thus losing more health, down to 50%. you can fined a ring that reduces that to 25% minimum.
You also cannot summon while hollow.

a lot of it's attacks can be parried insanely easily too, that one where it crouches down and looks like it's eating something can be parried the entire time it looks like he's gobbling up the ground

really the best way to beat him is to bring molotovs, oil urns and antidotes and parry whenever he does the gobble attack and just be super aggressive
this game seriously punishes not playing aggressively
