So a while ago I used listentoyoutube to get voice clips from super mario 64 for a blockland sound effect. I accidentally downloaded the wrong thing and now I got this neat little piece of adware.

Now this thing isn't a nuisance on it's own, but it downloads other pieces of adware that infect my chrome browser. I can't take pictures right now but you can pretty much get my gist. Adware isn't a calm and unassuming wallflower so I can usually wipe all the "CooAPSVagnINGS" off my hard drive as soon as I spot them. But that isn't my focus, my focus is how I can't delete this forgetin thing.

Apparently PragmaModulator makes subtle changes to your registry code so you can't delete it. I've tried most things out there, and they didn't seem to work in getting this thing off (mainly because i'm inept with regedit)

Do you guys have any ideas?

anyway for reals tho, you gotta do a system restore to an earlier date, it may remove some things you may have downloaded but you want rid of that adware right?
if you want to play it safe use malwarebytes

doesn't work. strangely whenever I restart my computer this thing called "Super Mario 64 Voice Clips and Sound Effects.exe" which is the file I accidentally downloaded shows up. no idea why, it's just there. ending the process does nothing

Highly recommend you download and install the little brilliant application called "Unlocker". It tells you what programs have a lock on what files, and then it will attempt (usually more successfully than the user) to delete the file and/or kill the process that is locking the file.

pretty sure that i'm getting that notification because of a subtle edit in the registry key so it will always give that message when I try to delete it

i'll kinda miss pragmamodulator because without it i won't get gems like this in my program files

http://clipconverter.cc is better, it doesn't convert between lossy formats and lets you get the original encoded audio and video with no loss in quality
