Author Topic: Americans choose Harriet Tubman to be on the $20 bill  (Read 48857 times)

I love how you ignore walls of text and wait until someone makes a short post that is of a completely different argument you can easily prove wrong.
the only "wall of text" I ignored was ipquarx reiterating his point which I already mentioned I was referring to how life would pretty much be completely the same. butterfly effect all you want. it's not relevant.

Why not be like England and have the president on every dollar bill?
Because that would be expensive to have to recall all bills and coins and remint them ever 4-8 years.

actually now that bisjac mentions it, having mlk on a dollar bill would be a splendid idea
Bruh.
Like honestly though, I wouldn't mind Tubman being on some sort of currency, but if you're going to choose a historical figure on the basis that they are black you should choose MLK.  He did so much more for the nation than Tubman.

I would much rather see MLK on a bill.

Well Jackson was the democrat to be voted in as president. The same democrat party that supported slavery segregation, the same democrat party that Obama is in. Isn't that some irony.
I don't think any parties then have relevancy to the parties we know today.  Policy changes over hundreds of years.

"it ain't so because i SAY IT AIN'T SO."

It is completely relevant.
The butterfly effect is exactly how it can affect your life.
Hell, a world war could affect your life without needing it to be a long chain of events.

lets just put everyone on the $20 bill

Why not just print several variants of the 20 dollar bill instead?

let's put naruto on the $20 bill

It is completely relevant.

I'm not going to hypothesize a bunch of stuff that didn't happen and probably wouldn't have happened regardless. there is no point in talking about the butterfly effect.

if you keep going after this, you're a dense forget
talk about harry tubwoman you stuffs

i still dont get why we need to put harriet tubman on the $20 bill

why not just leave it like it is??

IN SHORT: EXTREME AUTISM

i mean there's literally nothing wrong with andrew jackson being on the $20 bill, kimon is just a dipstuff

Yeah I don't see why we need to change it. If women are gonna spend all the money, we should at least get a little recognition

what are you even saying lol

You wouldn't actually have to recall them. They would stay in circulation for as long as their normal lifespan.
New money gets minted each year to replace that taken out of circulation. You'd just have to change the design every 4-8 years.

If this was a thing, and say it started when Bush was elected, there could still be notes in circulation with bill on them even though Obama is the president.

Regularly re-designing money is also a very very good way of limiting counterfeiting, as counterfeiters would have to regularly keep up to date with designs.
