Are you referring to me or Kumquat?
kumquat mostlyunless you're of the position that because there was a small online petition that there is legitimacy to this idea
[. . .]speaking for an innumerable populous that [he doesn't] even know.
It sounds unfathomable to compare Andrew Jackson to Riddler. Jackson forced the relocation of Native Americans, and also killed thousands, while Riddler was behind killing up to twelve million people (which include Jews, and non-Jews alike).
good thing that literally no one in this thread has mentioned Riddler other than you just now.

On topic though: I feel like a sufficient amount of people would like a change to the $20 bill based on this poll, and that a bigger official vote should be done on this matter.
I read through the first ten or so pages of this thread. Poor Harriet Tubman. Her legacy just getting bashed by teenagers who simply don't give a crap about the suffering endured by her and those she helped. It's no wonder there is still such a big racial divide in this country. Blacks go through years of hardship in unspeakable conditions and many white's still act like blacks have no right to be here/be angry/ etc. I see low key racism here in Arizona on a daily basis in fact, and it's absolutely disgusting. On topic though: I feel like a sufficient amount of people would like a change to the $20 bill based on this poll, and that a bigger official vote should be done on this matter.
My great grandfather was shot by gustapos during WW2, that doesn't mean I've endured the horrors of war. The "X went through decades of slavery" is bullstuff, since I'm 100% sure nobody living today was a loving plantation slave. Fix the problem we have, don't apologize to dead people on behalf of other dead.
Various estimates have been given if such payments were to be made. Harper's Magazine has created an estimate that the total of reparations due is over 100 trillion dollars, based on 222,505,049 hours of forced labor between 1619 and 1865, with a compounded interest of 6%.[9] Should all or part of this amount be paid to the descendants of slaves in the United States, the current U.S. government would only pay a fraction of that cost, over 40 trillion dollars, since it has been in existence only since 1789.
serious question though, why cant the 20 just have multiple variant bills? so long as theres a big fat 20 on them there shouldnt be confusionthey do that stuff with quarters, why not bills?
